This blog will be about a female wrestler that I've always been very keen, right from when she made her debut in NXT; Liv Morgan. Whether you agree or not, this is strictly my personal view on her and how I feel when seeing her perform whether it has been live or not. Lets get this started shall we?
Little recap on who is Liv Morgan:
I first found out about prior to her even being called Liv Morgan. I had heard about the signing of Gionna Daddio way back in 2014. Jesus, it really has been that long, huh? After looking her up and following her, there was something that stood out and it was the fact that she was very pretty. Not only that, it shown that she was a fan of wrestling with how she spoke about it and tweeted during events. She has quoted how she would take wrestling moves such as the Pedigree and always pretended to be Lita as she was a woman she related to. You can see way with her tomboy traits! Without any wrestling training before, she would start to learn at the impressive Performance Centre with some of the best coaches around. Before a debut, she did have appearances as a fan that was apart of Tyler Breeze's entrance as she jumped the barricade. Pretty funny. As time went on, Liv finally made her debut in-ring on November 4th's NXT but she had a different name. Marley was the name and I think we shall keep it short as soon after Liv Morgan was born!
For me, one of the matches that stands out is a six woman tag match that included Liv Morgan as she teamed with Carmella and Nikki Cross (then Glencross) to take on Alexa Bliss, Mandy Rose and Sonya Deville (then Daria Berenato). She wasn't very experienced at this moment but she stood out in this match from her look and some of the moves that she pulled out in the match. Unfortunately she did not have a run in NXT where she was able to be champion or was really the highlighted wrestler but as I said previously, there was something about her that attracted me to her. With each match that went on whether they were single matches or tag matches, we were able to see a star shine in her. A feud that stood out was with Billie Kay and Peyton Royce, The Iconic Duo where she was able to pick up victories.
Then 2017 came around, ironically in November again, Liv Morgan made a huge impact on Smackdown Live alongside Ruby Riott and Sarah Logan forming the soon named Riott Squad. So, what happened on her debut? Alongside two other women mentioned, they had attacked Becky Lynch and Naomi which then lead to them attacking Charlotte Flair and Natayla later that night. Arguably at the time, Smackdown's biggest female stars. This was brilliant! I and others were LIVin' for it. See what I did there?! Ever since then they have remained a team and kept doing what they do best, causing riots.
My personal opinion on Liv Morgan:
You see, I absolutely adore her as a wrestler. I think that she has a fantastic look that stands out from a crowd whether it be her blonde her to now pink or simply her ring attire. Liv has always been good at making sure the eyes are on her and that is a thing that I love about a wrestler. As someone once mentioned to me in a tweet that we haven't really heard her say much, and fair enough, but the times I have heard her on the microphone or being interviewed she has been able to keep it interesting. She is herself, she is real. You don't see Liv putting on an act to impress she is 100% genuine and I think that she can capture the attention with how she comes across with her words. Along with her little laugh too, I like that. From her look and change of the attire to the moves that she pulls off in the ring, you can see the difference from when she made a start back in NXT. She is no slack, she doesn't let anything held her back even being hurt, take a look at some of her matches and you can see how athletic she truly is, pulling off things people wish they could.
Out of the three, she is my favourite and I will always stand by that. Putting her with them was smart as she can learn from two talented wrestlers that have perfected the craft on the independence scene for years and sometimes that can overshadow a talent who is WWE's very own but Liv has allowed that to stop her. In matches, she has taken bumps that looked insane, done moves that an inspiring wrestler like me would love to perfect the way she has. She hasn't allowed her few years of experience hold her back and that is what I love a lot about Liv. It is a very small thing, but when she rolled away from an elbow and collar tie up with Ronda in her singles match a few weeks ago and going into a somewhat of a taunt as she laid on her chest looking up at Ronda it was just a Liv Morgan thing to do and it made it even better. Just how her body language is and how her facial expressions can be, I love that about her as a wrestler. Not only that, she is the one who has made me invested in Riott Squad and has made me want to see them more in action, to see what they will do next or who they will bring pain upon. Hell, she has even got a blue tongue being over having fans replicate her by sticking out their tongues as it is blue for pictures. She leaves a positive impact on people!
I was so happy and glad that she has been apart of history making moments. Two Rumbles, Evolution PPV and Women's Tag Team Elimination Chamber match where in my honest opinion she was one of the stars of that match. Her team work with Sarah Logan, oh boy! They screamed championship material and honestly, I believe that one day Liv will hold those championships alongside Sarah (can we also appreciate the little chuckle she did when waiting in the pod? Adorable). Would have been nice to see them become the champions on that night, but hey, good things are soon to come.

Yet I believe she can hang on her own for sure, I would love to be able to see her in more single matches showcasing that she is very talented. I've seen her wrestle live at the o2 in London for a RAW and a Live Event and she's been good. She's been up against Natayla in a six woman tag match and she handled her own. My nan, who I go to most shows with was even impressed in Liv's performance! I'm a very dedicated wrestling fan and when I hear someone like Liv speak about wrestling in interviews, I can feel the passion that she has for the business, the heart to be one of the best that has been seen. Her personality is just lovely and she is one of the wrestlers that I'd love to meet and speak to because she is a genuine person. I will always stand my ground and try and prove my point on why Liv should never be looked over and I will always support her. Her improvement has shown that she is one WWE's best homegrown talents and that she deserves to be where she is today.
I have hopes that she may have a championship match for one of the Women's titles. Win or lose, I'd be proud to say I supported her. She has a whole squad of fans behind her too, she has built up a fanbase that are very loyal to her and are dedicated. Liv Morgan had quickly rose to the top as one of my favourite wrestlers to watch and someone I have nothing but high hopes for. I'm proud to see how far she has come in the space of four years, she is a huge part of Riott Squad and a huge part on why the Women's Evolution is so bright and moving forward fast.
She is the future!
